MAKE IT YOUR SANCTUARY
November 23rd, 2015
Getting a good night's sleep and feeling rested and ready for your day can all be down to your bedroom. If your room is cluttered, messy and generally a stressful place to be then the chances are you won’t feel very zen. Here are a few ways you can make your bedroom a warm and inviting place and get the most out of your resting space.
Investing in some good sheets and a fluffy duvet can make all the difference
during those winter months.
Can add colour and texture to a room and make your bed look all the more inviting.
Sheepskin and Fur
I would have sheepskin on everything in my house if I could. But just by the bed will do
to be the first thing your feet sink into in the morning. A faux fur throw draped
over a bed or chair can add a bit of luxury to any room (Zara’s
throws feel like the real thing and are currently on sale).
Subdued lighting before bed is essential so any lights on a dimmer or with energy saving
bulbs are a must. Low hanging lights can add character to a room or chandeliers for
a dose of luxury.
Make it Personal
Fill your room with anything that represents you from nick nacks bought on your travels,
photos, paintings and luscious smelling candles.
Can quite literally breathe a bit of life into your room.
And then there’s just the rooms we can only dream of.
Here are a few slightly more affordable bits to help create your cozy space.
