Blueberry Chia Seed Smoothie LIVING February 15th,2016
Here is another smoothie which is great for when you are on the go and want something that will sustain your hunger till lunchtime. I love adding seeds into my smoothies and since I got a pack of chia seeds I have been using them non-stop. T H E B E N E F I T S Chia seeds are a rich source of nutrients and antioxdants. They are rich in Omega0 3 Fatty Acids, making them one of the richest plant-based sources. They are also extremely high in fibre. I N G R E D I E N T S 1 Banana 1/2 tablespoon of Acai powder 3 tablespoons of oats (optional) 1 Apple 100ml Water Half a punnet of Blueberries 2-3 tablespoons of Chia seeds
M E T H O D I usually soak the chia seeds in water over night however this is just by preference. Chop the banana and apple up and add all your ingredients into a blender. It's simple but filling and gives you 3 of your 5 a day in one go.
