FRESH CITRUS BURST JUICE

Since investing in a nutri bullet I can't stop making smoothies/Juices. And despite the rave reviews for the super green drink I can’t stomach that everyday. I decided to experiment with some more refreshing drinks that still benefit you.
I have recently fallen in love with what I call the Citrus Burst! It is a mixture of Pink grapefruit, Orange, Lemon, Lime, Pineapple and this ingredient will be a shocker... Chilli. It is naturally sweetened by the Orange and pineapple and the chilli gives it the extra kick that you need in the morning.
Benefits: All these fruits contain cleansing aspects which aids the digestive system, plus a substantial amount of vitamin C (the chilli included) helps boost your metabolism and aids weight loss. The citrus fruits help to control your stress levels and pineapples contain enzymes that can help digest proteins and offer anti-inflammatory benefits. Chillies contain a good amount of minerals like potassium, manganese, iron and magnesium. Potassium is an important component of cell and body fluids that help to control heart rate and blood pressure. Manganese is used by the body as a co-factor for the antioxidant enzyme, superoxide dismutase.
1 Portion of Pineapple 130g
1x Pink Grapefruit
2 x Oranges
half a fresh Chilli (seedless)
Step one: Juice the orange, lemon and grapefruit and leave in the blender. Finely chop the chilli making sure that there are no seeds. If you don’t want to use fresh chilli then use half a teaspoon of fresh chilli powder.
Step 2: Place pineapple chunks in the blender along with the juices and blend. Once done sit back and enjoy.
This juice is also great as a fruit cocktail too, just add a bit of rum!
