During these cold winter months I intend on doing a little bit of hibernation with the help of some much needed goodies.
I'm a sucker for a nice candle and Cowshed do some of my favourites as they aren’t overpowering at all, especially the bitter orange and grapefruit. Plus they come in a great box with cheeky names, this one is ‘Grumpy Cow’ so watch out if you’re giving it to someone as a gift.
Nothing beats a good book and 'Room' by Emma Donoghue will have you gripped from the first page. I started it whilst on holiday in Thailand over New Years. Now I may have watched the film before finishing the book - rookie error I know but it was showing on my return flight and I couldn’t help it! But I can safely say the film is true to the book and is sure to swipe many an Oscar. I would suggest reading the book first though if you can resist.
Since being back in the cold from the heat of Thailand, my skin has been hit with a dramatic change of climate. So I’ve turned to my lotions and potions to keep my skin hydrated. Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm has been a saviour for my hands and Korres Black pine serum for my face and neck.
Although we’re all bundled up during January, a nice bit of new underwear can make anyone feel better. Victoria's Secret have started doing some great lace delicates with bead and jewel embellishment. Guaranteed to make any girl feel special (even if they are under your thermals and long johns).
