Scarves are the accessories I feel we forget too easily. They are one of many accessories that have both an aesthetic and functional purpose to it. I feel like 2015 was the year of scarves being the must have accessories and this was done by the revival for the super skinny scarf and Rockins!
This brand holds a close place to my heart. Not only have I had the pleasure to work with this brand but I have had the opportunity to call the power couple and brains behind the revival of the super skinny scarves my friends.
Tim Rockins and Jess Morris are the coolest cats on town! Not only do they drive around London in a taxi but they have created one of the must have accessories in the UK. With Kate Moss, Steve Tyler and Harry Styles being a few famous people following the brand.
The Rockins story began when partners Jess Morris and Tim Rockins produced a small run of bespoke silk scarves as Christmas presents for friends. After being spotted draped around the necks of Kate Moss, Jamie Hince and Katy England, media interest peaked and Rockins was born. Morris, a highly esteemed Marketing Director and Rockins, a London based artist & musician share a love of vintage scarves.
Rockins are purists, dedicated to expert craftsmanship inspired by traditional 1920s designs. All scarves are made in 100% Crepe de Chine silk with a bias cut that falls to a hand- finished mitred point; this creates an effortlessly relaxed look, allowing the scarf to be nonchalantly slung around the neck, tied at the hip or rocked whichever way you like.
Rockins knows what it is and what their customers want and stick to their guns when it comes to their designs. They aren't a corporate company churning out designs just for profit. With each scarves design comes with great care and dedication from both Jess and Tim. They have created the product that they envisioned and people are loving it.
And if Skinny scarves are not for you the offer a rang of Maxi scarves, Classic skinny scarves, Fringes scarves and Bandanas all made in the UK.
This year was Rockins 1 year anniversary and you can already follow the brand success with it being featured within Vogue, Elle, Tatler naming a few of the publications and being stocked in Libertys, Net-A-Porter and Selfridges. They have started to branch out their designs into homeware, creating luxury pillows and throws
I must admit that I have seen scarves in a new light since coming across Rockins and I'm excited to see what more the brand will do in 2016.
